Just bought $200+ of alcohol to restock after being forced to give up my supplies prior to the move. I'm throwing a small "break in my new place" party tomorrow evening and, as everyone knows, you can't have a good time without alcohol.
Sadly, the LCBO in Ontario puts the liquor stores here in Washington state (named simply "Liquor and Wine") to shame. The stores here are small, relatively dingy, and dated versus the LCBO's bright, colourful, and large selection. Shopping at the LCBO makes me feel like a sophisticated & hip host buying to entertain for an art gallery opening; buying liquor in Washington state makes me feel like an alcoholic named Frank buying the cheap bourbon I need to put myself to sleep every night.

So, was it a good party (loud, boisterous and generally crazy) or was it a great party (all the bottles in that picture are now empty)?
Also, did you survive the beating from the angry mob after they realized that there's no beer at your place :-)
Hopefully you're still there to respond and not in the hospital recovering from severe lacerations caused by broken booze bottles.

It was a good party. Not really loud, boisterous, and crazy, since it was a) a Wednesday, b) not a kegger like the weekly Thursday Apprentice parties here, and c) many people had to drive. But still solid, and people seemed to really enjoy it. Probably no replacement for the parties still going on in Waterloo, though.
Oh, and I did buy beer, but it was in the fridge. :)
