Just saw a screening of Sin City. Amazing visual style. Ultimately leaves you feeling empty, but the imagery is enough to keep you completely engaged until the end. If you're a) a guy, and b) under 30, it's worth seeing once.

It's funny that you and I both pegged the audience, but I don't think I ever felt empty. It was just so perfect.
"Yeah. And maybe after I finish that miracle I'll punch God."
I only felt unfulfilled at the end. Just saw your blog entry -- that's pretty sweet that you saw it too.
I definitely got that it was three mostly distinct storylines. (Did Quentin direct one of them? Noticed his credit as "Special Director" or something.) And I had a blast throughout the movie -- the action and dialogue was so incredibly over the top you couldn't help but have fun. (Who knew Elijah Wood could be so damn scary?)
But at the end -- perhaps because there wasn't a single linear storyline path, perhaps not -- it left me feeling like I hadn't seen much of substance. Shallow.
It was great while it lasted, though.
