The movers showed up early in the afternoon and quickly split up, one packing my bedroom, the other the living room. They were about my age, which could have made things awkward ("This punk headed out west for a job thinks he's better than us!"), but turned out fine in the end; we talked about video games & movies, and they remarked positively on each item of Simpsons merchandise in my possession (there are many).
Click the image for a few post-pack photos. All in all, 54 boxes of my junk were packed and shipped out, and I've left behind a cavernous and empty apartment for Markus to occupy. (I don't think he minds, especially since he gets a swinging bachelor pad all to himself for three months.)
My favorite box is the one labelled "foam" -- it's a protective box wrapped around the protective foam for my dartboard.

You forgot to mention how efficient these guys were. I think if I would have sat still for a second the guys would have measured me and packed me inside a box before I could do anything. Oh, and where Brian says "swank" he means empty. I don't even have chairs for people to sit in right now, but I'll get on that. My mission is to get the place looking so good that Brian will have to fly back. Or maybe I can just wait for him to come visit Heather and save a ton of money. Hmmmm, we'll see.
At any rate, go show those republicans just how left wing us Canadian University students can be!
Happy travels and good luck with everything!

Haha...have fun decorating the place. Now that I'm gone you can put the punching bag in the middle of the living room...actually, that would have been pretty cool. Would have been a hit at parties, anyway.
Um, yeah. I think I should sleep, since I need to get up for my flight in less than four hours. Ciao, and see you later.
